If there are no current vacancies in your area, please register your interest through this form here. You will be added to the mailing list for upcoming vacancies.

Applications to the IMB are completed using an online application form, full guidance on how to fill out the form can be found here. You
should first follow the application form link attached to the advert, to allow you
to register your initial details and access the application form.

When completing the form please note:
• The form will automatically save once you complete each section, or when
you click on the ‘save’ button.
• The application form can be saved and finished at a later time if you wish to
have a break or review your answers at a later date.
• All sections will have to be completed before the submission button can be
activated.

The board at Hollesley Bay is keen to expand the representation from the Black and Asian and any other minority communities in the UK. The IMB at Hollesley Bay can accommodate all of the pressures of time and availability of members but on average each member is expected to undertake a rota visit, a specialist meeting and the board meeting each month. HMP Stocken is a category C training prison in a rural area off the A1 in Rutland. It houses over 1040 men serving terms of 4years or more the site covers a large area and we regularly visit all areas. Board meetings take place the second Wednesday of the month at 13.30

We are currently looking for new volunteers to join IMB Haverigg helping to ensure that proper standards of care and decency are maintained. HMP Haverigg is an open male prison located in extensive grounds in a picturesque setting in Cumbria

Time commitment per month: 2 -3 visits per month although this may be slightly higher during the first year of training. Board meetings take place first Thursday of each month; however, members can use zoom/teleconference if they cannot attend the prison. Flexible with time of Board meetings

We are currently looking for volunteers to join IMB Bronzefield helping to ensure that proper standards of care and decency are maintained. Applications are invited from candidates who live within 25 miles of the prison. HMP/YOI Bronzefield is a privately run female prison in Ashford, Surrey. It is the largest women’s prison in Europe and is situated near Heathrow with good transport links. Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am via attendance at the prison or remotely.

Time commitment per month: Approximately 2 to 3 visits per month although this may be slightly higher during the first year of training. This can be flexible depending on the needs of the Board and the individual.

HMP Ashfield is a specialist rehabilitation prison. It is located in the village of Pucklechurch approx. 8 miles from both Bristol and Bath.
