IMBs launch a new National Monitoring Framework

We are pleased to confirm that the new National Monitoring Framework for Independent Monitoring Boards (IMBs) has now been published.

The framework has been agreed by the IMBs’ national management board and endorsed by ministers and sets out the role of IMBs, the purpose and principles of monitoring and how this can have an impact on outcomes for prisoners and detainees.

If you’re interested in the IMB work, or you’re a member of prison or immigration staff who regularly work with the IMBs, download your copy of the National Monitoring Framework.

If you would like to join your local IMB, go to our current vacancies page.
