If there are no current vacancies in your area, please register your interest through this form here. You will be added to the mailing list for upcoming vacancies.

Applications to the IMB are completed using an online application form, full guidance on how to fill out the form can be found here. You
should first follow the application form link attached to the advert, to allow you
to register your initial details and access the application form.

When completing the form please note:
• The form will automatically save once you complete each section, or when
you click on the ‘save’ button.
• The application form can be saved and finished at a later time if you wish to
have a break or review your answers at a later date.
• All sections will have to be completed before the submission button can be
activated.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join IMB Bronzefield helping to ensure that proper standards of care and decency are maintained. Applications are invited from candidates who live within 25 miles of the prison. HMP/YOI Bronzefield is a privately run female prison in Ashford, Surrey. It is the largest women’s prison in Europe and is situated near Heathrow with good transport links. Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am via attendance at the prison or remotely.

Time commitment per month: Approximately 2 to 3 visits per month although this may be slightly higher during the first year of training. This can be flexible depending on the needs of the Board and the individual.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join IMB Ashfield helping to ensure that proper standards of care and decency are maintained Applications are invited from candidates who live within 30 miles of HMP Ashfield. HMP Ashfield is a specialist rehabilitation prison. It is located in the village of Pucklechurch approx. 8 miles from both Bristol and Bath.

Time commitment per month: 2 -3 visits per month although this may be higher during the first year of training. Board meeting take place the first Wednesday of every month at 1pm

HMP Lindholme is a category C prison housing some 1000 men and is located about 10 miles north east of Doncaster. It occupies a large, spread out site on a former RAF station. Utilising some of the old buildings but having accommodation blocks which were purposely built in the 1980s Applications are invited from candidates who live within 25 miles of HMP Lindholme. We’re recruiting for volunteers at HMP Erlestoke – the only prison in Wiltshire. Closing date for applications is 17th October 2021. Board meetings are held on the third Friday of every month at 12.30 hrs (with the exception of August when there is no meeting).
